Sun-Splashed Pensacola Hosts Training for Ministry Conference

On Friday and Saturday, January 12–13, 2007, Pensacola’s famed Brownsville Assembly of God hosted the Benny Hinn Ministries Training for Ministry Conference for partners and friends. What happened was incredible!

The auditorium was packed to capacity with overflow seating in another auditorium. Pastor Benny was warmly received by Brownsville’s Pastor Evan Horton and wife, Deborah. The air was filled with excitement.

With powerful worship and anointed teaching, the services were life-changing times of preparation for believers who were intent on discovering—in a greater way—how to minister more effectively during the last days.

Pastor Benny taught on demonology during the first two sessions, presenting these seven steps into bondage:

  1. Regression
  2. Repression
  3. Suppression
  4. Depression
  5. Oppression
  6. Obsession
  7. Possession

On Saturday evening, Pastor Benny taught on healing and how to pray for the sick. Then, as he concluded his teaching, miracles began taking place in the auditorium: healings from arthritis, cancer, back problems, deliverance from bondage, and so many more.

Those who came forward to testify of God’s healing touch on their bodies were weeping tears of gratitude, visibly touched by God’s power.

“What an exciting time of anointed study and ministry this was in Pensacola,” Pastor Benny said. “It was so good to be with many longtime partners and ministry friends, as well as World Healing Fellowship members and so many new friends. God is doing something amazing and prophetic in these conferences, and I know that God gave me a very special word to help equip the precious people who attended for spiritual warfare and anointed ministry!”

Today, in addition to the beautiful beaches, Pensacola is known by several different nicknames:

  • America’s First Settlement (In 1559, even before St. Augustine was discovered by European explorers, Spanish explorer Don Tristan de Luna brought an expedition to Pensacola’s shores.)
  • City of Five Flags (In its 450 years of history, Pensacola has been ruled by Spain, France, England, the United States and the Confederacy.)
  • The Western Gate to the Sunshine State (A famous motto of the locals is “Welcome to the western gate of the Sunshine State, where thousands live the way millions wish they could.”)
  • The Cradle of Naval Aviation (The Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard start their aviation training in Pensacola, and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels are based here.)

Visitors to the conference had an unforgettable time in Pensacola!
