Training for Ministry Conference Held in the Heart of the South

Birmingham symbolizes classic southern charm, architecture, and hospitality. On Friday and Saturday, September 14–15, 2007, Birmingham’s famed Jefferson Convention Complex Concert Hall hosted the Benny Hinn Ministries Training for Ministry Conference for partners and friends where Pastor Benny taught on “Practicing the Presence of God.” With powerful worship and anointed teaching, the two-day conference was a life-changing time for those who packed the auditorium!

GOD IS BIGGER THAN OUR EXPERIENCE
From the beginning, Pastor Benny took great care to distinguish between God’s presence and God’s power.

“God is bigger than our experience,” he said, “much bigger! People limit God when they ask for a double portion, for the anointing of the Holy Spirit is available without measure. It is limitless.”

After teaching on the omnipotence (all-powerful), omniscience (all-knowing), and omnipresence (everywhere) of God, Pastor Benny took time to examine the three personalities of the Godhead and how each member of the Godhead is different.

Three commandments in the Bible regarding the Godhead are crystal clear:

• God the Father—Don’t disobey Him.
• God the Son—Do not anger Him
• God the Holy Spirit—Do not grieve Him.

Everything we receive from God comes from the Father through the Son in the Spirit.

• The Father speaks through the Son.
• The Son is the administrator.
• The Holy Spirit is the contact between heaven and earth.

Pastor Benny used the example of the Tabernacle to illustrate how we practice the presence of God.

“Prayer begins in the outer court,” he taught. “The Holy place is where the soul begins to cry out for God. Hunger erupts within by the Spirit, and in the Holy of Holies we begin to practice the presence of the Lord.
