Teaching on Anointing Highlights Training for Ministry Conference in San Jose

The Silicon Valley in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California is considered the world’s high-tech hub. Judging from the people throughout the area who attended the recent Training for Ministry Conference and Youth Service, many throughout this region of California are hungry for the power of the Holy Spirit!

No city in the world is more closely associated with high technology than San Jose, the capital of Silicon Valley. Jubilee Christian Center, started a quarter-century ago by Pastor Dick and Carla Bernal, continues to grow (now with over 14,000 members) and impact this vital area.

People throughout this region were obviously anticipating the Benny Hinn Ministries Training for Ministry Conference and Youth Service held January 24–26, 2008. Crowds packed the Jubilee Christian Center. Praise and worship music filled the auditorium, and Pastor Benny Hinn’s messages clearly touched the hearts of people gathered from throughout the United States and several foreign counties.

The Anointing

Pastor Benny spoke on the topic of the Holy Spirit, introducing the Person of the Holy Spirit in the first session and expanding

it during the second and thirdsessions. He shared from personal experience, talking about how his relationship with the Holy Spirit began.

As he taught he made this statement: “If the breath of God can turn mud into a man, just think what one more breath could do.”

He shared the seven results of the anointing from Psalm 89:

1.  You will be established.

2.  You will be strengthened.

3.  Satan can’t touch you.

4.  God will defeat your enemies.

6.  You will have authority.

7.  You will influence the world.

In the final session of the conference Pastor Benny emphasized the anointing “without measure,” saying, “It’s a command from God to never lack the anointing!” He also pointed to the three levels of the anointing:

1.  Salvation—the leper’s anointing

2.  Anointing for ministry—the priestly anointing

3.  Authority—the kingly anointing

As his teaching came to a close, a gentle anointing descended upon the service and he laid hands on each person in attendance, asking God to anoint their lives.

The Outpouring Continues

That anointing continued to spread during Saturday’s youth service as multitudes in attendance were touched by the Holy Spirit and moved to greater service for the King of kings. Before the final service closed, Pastor Benny called all the youth forward and prayed for them. Youth of all ages responded. Their faces reflected the intense spiritual hunger in their hearts, and their tears flowing freely down their faces were an outward sign of the inward work and their brokenness before the Lord.

“God continues to show me that our Training for Ministry Conferences are being used in a mighty way,” Pastor Benny Hinn said. “God continues to reveal that He plans an even greater outpouring in the coming days.
