Live Webcast Sends NYC Conference Around the World

Viewers around the globe logged on to watch a live streaming Webcast of this week’s Impartation & Anointing Conference, direct from the New York City’s Marriott Marquis. What they saw was a powerful 3-part teaching on the Holy Spirit’s anointing.

The conference, held February 28–29, 2008, was highly anticipated by people throughout the Eastern Seaboard. Praise and worship music filled the auditorium, and Pastor Benny Hinn’s messages clearly touched hearts of people gathered from throughout the United States and several foreign counties.

Powerful Teaching on Prayer
In Pastor Benny’s teaching on the anointing of the Holy Spirit, he used the examples of Elijah and Elisha, pointing out that Elisha asked for a double portion of what was on Elijah’s life.

In session 1 Pastor Benny discussed praying in the Spirit and praying with the Spirit: “We must seek the Lord until we find Him. Acts 12:5 tells us that when you walk into God’s presence in prayer, the first thing that will happen is you will meet the Father. The downfall of the child of God is when they relax in prayer.”

“Prayer unto God,” Pastor Benny added, “is true communion with Him. Praying with perseverance means that every part of you cries out to God.”

Keys to the Double Portion
Referring to the illustration of Elijah and Elisha, Pastor Benny focused on the double portion, the birthright of the firstborn.

Keys to the double portion include these:

1. You must be called.
2. You must be a warrior.
3. You must be a worker.
4. You must come under the mantle of another ministry or man of God.
5. You will be tested.

“Jesus is not interested in those who are reluctant to follow,” Pastor Benny taught. “There is no reluctance allowed. Elisha left the oxen and ran after Elijah. Elisha destroyed his business, forgot his past, renounced his past, and arose and went after Elijah. Run after the anointing. Give up associations that are draining you and keeping you from the double portion.”

Three Places of Testing
Pastor Benny finished this powerful teaching by examining the three locations that will test how faithful you are going to be:

1. Gilgal—This is the first place God will bring you to, once you qualify. It’s the place where the supernatural ceased. God strips you of your sight and the assurance of the old life so you will live by faith.
2. Bethel—This is where Jacob laid his head on a stone, where Saul failed, and where you decide.
3. Jericho—This city is the place of spiritual warfare. Mocking from the enemy is proof that you are anointed.

Seven Wealth Transfers
On Saturday morning, Pastor Benny talked about a new anointing that is coming to believers, even as evil increases in the world.

“The time is coming when Jesus will ‘heal all,’” he declared. “A greater anointing is coming, and it is going to happen soon. God is about to take money from sinners and stick it in your hands because ‘the wealth of world belongs to the righteous.’”

This led to a powerful teaching on seven important wealth transfers throughout the Bible, ending with the coming transfer to obedient believers.

“Wealth is not for us,” he explained. “It’s for Almighty God. So thank Him that you have been counted worthy and faithful and will place the wealth of the sinner in your hands. Thank Him that He is going to use you to get the Gospel to the nations. And obey Him now, for wherever you are, God is talking to you. If you are facing a problem, it is time for you to obey.”

Impartation and Anointing
Following the teaching, Pastor Benny laid hands on nearly 4,000 people who attended, and he prayed for an impartation of the anointing of the Holy Spirit to rest upon each life.
