Today’s Key Scripture (all references NKJV unless otherwise noted):
Verse
—Exodus 30:31
The Old Testament speaks of three distinct anointings: that of the leper (salvation), the priest (ministry), and the king (authority). These are wonderful illustrations of a believer’s relationship with God, moving from plateau to plateau.
Too many times people accept Christ’s salvation as they receive the leper’s anointing, yet they never move into more. Certainly the Holy Spirit is present at conversion. He is there with the Father and the Son. However, the priestly anointing and the unmistakable presence that accompanies it is totally distinct.
The priestly anointing, is that which brings you into the presence of God. You sense His presence. You feel it. And you know it with growing confidence.
Nothing compares, however, to the power of the kingly anointing. It lifts you to a place of high authority in God.
The leper’s anointing comes by accepting Jesus. The priestly anointing comes by fellowshipping with Jesus. The kingly anointing comes by hearing Jesus—by hearing the “rhema” Word that says, “Thus saith the Lord. “
God wants you to move to a higher plateau as you spend time daily in His lovely presence!
How will you respond?
A Prayer for Today:
Father, thank You for the process as I move from salvation to service and authority. Help me bring You glory today, through my actions, words, and work. God, please edify my mind with Your truth, enflame my heart with Your anointing, inspire my will you’re your courage, and deepen my desire to reflect You more and more. Forgive me for sins of the past, purify me for what You want me to become, and empower me for all that You have designed for me to do. I pray this in the Name above all names, my Master Jesus. Amen and Amen!
